Temi + Tayo came all the way from Nigeria to celebrate over 3 days in Cape Town with friends and family from around the world.
As we prepare to finish off our 2016 weddings, we can’t believe another year has come and gone.
We have shot some of the most amazing weddings of our career this year!
We got to work with the best suppliers in the country and shot some amazing destination weddings.
What more could we ask for?
The one thing that was solidified in our minds this year as our industry in general felt the pinch of the current economic climate in South Africa, is that, like everything else in life, it’s all about the relationships you maintain.
Relationships with old and new friends in the industry proved to be very important this year.
We are very grateful to everyone that continues to support our work and love what we do even when we’ve lost our own joy at times. Something thats become very important to us over time is to work with clients that get who we are and that we get as people. After all, our jobs involve so much emotion and expectation, I think its probably one of the most important aspects to a successful shoot.
This was our first wedding at VILLA ARCADIA
Brides often ask in our meetings if we’ve worked at a venue before, as if we have, it somehow puts us at an advantage? In fact we always find it easier to shoot at a venue that we’ve never worked at. We see it with new eyes and can shoot something fresh and original that we haven’t shot before .
These two were beyond excited for their wedding day! From daily facebook countdowns to little reminders of how many sleeps were left before they tied the knot, it was fun watching their excitement grow as the wedding day drew closer.
As owners of a creative business, Sharne and Wayde chose an Alice in wonderland inspired theme for the quirky touches to their decor and guest entertainment to make their celebration one to remember.
These two wanted to have a few moments to themselves before making their way down the aisle, so they chose to do their ‘first look’ before the ceremony on a quite little road out the way.
They literally coudn’t contain their excitement to see each other. We loved their response when seeing each other;-)
